The Biodiesel Diaries is a 6-month journey through grassroots community efforts in Latin America.

Our vehicle, also known as ‘El Chaski’, runs on waste vegetable oil and is a part of our attempt to use sustainable bio-energy to reach our destination, Chile.
We want to know what Latin America is doing to find sustainable solutions to the problems and issues they face.
Through digital storytelling (photo, sound and video) we will highlight the stories of non-profit organizations, cooperatives and activists working towards sustainability; thus awakening the connections between our cultures, struggles and traditions.

We hope this website provides you, our audience, with an opportunity to interact with the protagonists of this voyage, learn, teach, connect and find inspiration to live more sustainably in your own way.
As journalists, educators, and artists, we will document and unite communities between the United States and Chile.
We must all be the change we wish to see in the world.
